"For many years Eastern Regional Libraries has been greatly impressed with the work undertaken by Public Libraries of New Zealand (PLNZ). We are particularly impressed with your National Strategic Framework 2020-2025 and would like to use it extensively in developing our Library Plan for 2021–2025. The Framework resonates with the opportunities and challenges we face over the next four years and beyond. While I know the Framework is freely available via your website, I would like to acknowledge the amazing work by PLNZ in developing the Framework. The National Strategic Framework of Public Libraries New Zealand (PLNZ) promotes a national approach to planning, design, and delivery of public library services." - Joseph Cullen, CEO Eastern regional Libraries, Victoria. The Framework has been prepared by the Association of Public Library Managers and includes input from many public libraries of varying sizes and geographical locations. In addition, a wide range of other library and information stakeholders provided input to the document. The Framework is directed at key decision and policymakers at the national and local levels. It may also be used by communities and local service providers to plan services and programs according to local needs in collaboration with public libraries. The overall aim is to improve community outcomes and return on investment for councils and ratepayers. Recovery is possible with support for those who need it most.
