A Toolkit for library managers is helping New Zealand libraries become fine free!

The idea of the Fine Free campaign was born at the 2021 PLNZ's National Forum in Wellington when Librarian, Louise LaHatte shared the good news that Auckland Libraries were going fine free. Everyone cheered and celebrated with our colleagues as this decision by their Council had positive benefits for over 1 million Aucklanders.

Since then a small working group led by Louise has brought together a toolkit to assist public libraries through the process of becoming fine free.

Aware that one size does not fit all, the tool kit can be used in whatever way suits your purpose to achieve the end goal.
