Creators, Denise and Daniela, talk about how their local library made things happen. They needed support with launching their business Furniture | Le Ferrier design, and to do this, they came to Christchurch City Library Tūranga. They prototyped some designs, trialled laser and vinyl cutting their branding onto wood and other materials, and made some team t-shirts. Watch the video. Sam was supported by many library staff as she worked through the many iterations of her book, The Little Book of Smiles, and is now a National Finalist in the YES (Young Enterprise Scheme) “One to watch” category. Sam started this about five years ago at school where she was helped by a team of librarians. She carried it on after school and has now sold quite a few copies of her diary/book into schools. All focussed on mental health and well-being. You can read more of Sam’s work along with the other finalists and cast your vote HERE.
